Field Trips
Greenstone Mountain - Alpine Flowers and Birds; Saturday, July 9th

Saturday, July 9th.  Meet in the parking lot near the Aberdeen theatre at 8:30 am for an annual KNC tradition of visiting Greenstone Mountain to see alpine flowers and birds.

The trip involves stops on a good gravel road suitable for regular cars.
The road runs right to the top of the mountain.  The group will have lunch at the end of the trip at the top of the mountain and enjoy the view.  The trip involves very little walking as the road passes right beside several lakes for birding stops and a good flower meadow.

There is no need to register in advance.  Club members will be asked to sign an attendance form.  Non-club members will be asked to sign a day trip waiver form and pay $1.

Bring a lunch and warm clothing as the weather at the top of Greenstone Mountain can be variable.  Also bring binoculars and a camera. The leader is Paul Johansen.
